Introduction to Viblast API

Viblast does not wrap the video tag element inside the viblast object. Therefore, all video tag methods and properties continue to be available from the video tag itself, independent from the Viblast player. See the video tag documentation at MDN.

Viblast enhances the video tag with some methods of its own that have to be accessed through the Viblast object. Consult the setup section to find out how to access the viblast object in the cases of HTML video tag setup or Video.js setup.

The Viblast specific API offers access to ABR, Program Date Time and ID3 tags.
